I took this photo this past summer (2017) outside of a church while in Oslo, Norway.
My photography journey has been a long time in coming. When I was 8 years old I remember begging my parents to buy me a little 2-by 3-inch wide purple Tinkerbell camera from Disney World. I thought I lost that begging battle but to my surprise that next Christmas I found it under the Christmas tree (from Santa of course). I was psyched! I went around taking pictures of anything and everything I could find. (Below are some of the pictures from this camera). From then on it’s safe to say I was hooked, and many years of slowly graduating myself up camera-wise with babysitting and birthday money later, I got myself a full-on DSLR. Years later I’m still taking pictures basically wherever I go.
With the help of the resources from my school, I’m grateful to say I’ve been given the opportunity to have the experience of developing my own film photos in a darkroom as well. Working with film, although not the quickest form of photography, has given me a more tactile understanding of photography that I’m very glad to have.
Hopefully one day I’ll be able to make photography a profession of mine, this is my work thus far, enjoy!
